Christmas Weekend in Big Bear

We are excited you decided to come to Big Bear Lake for your holiday!   There are plenty of things to do to around town after the presents have been unwrapped.  If you have already spent your days snow tubing, your nights snuggling by the fire and just want to get out of the cabin for awhile then you might find something for the whole family on this list!  Here are 5 fun things to do for your Christmas weekend in Big Bear Lake!

 

Guided Snowshoe Eco Tour

Strap on those funny looking tennis rackets to your feet and get ready to hit the trails, winter style!  The Big Bear Discovery Center offers guided snowshoe tours every Saturday from 9 a.m.- noon and again from 1 p.m.-4 p.m.  and Sunday from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. through the winter months.  Depends on snow conditions so keep your fingers crossed.  Fees are $30 for Adults and $20 for kids (8-12 yrs).  Call (909) 382-2790 to reserve your spot.

 

 

Riglet Park Camp at Bear Mountain

Now kids age 3-6 have the opportunity to snowboard like the grownups!  Once a month Bear Mountain is transforming a small area into Riglet Park which uses Burton’s Learn-To-Ride technology and concentrates on safety in a fun environment.  The pop-up park includes mellow rollers, small berms and ground level features.  Call (909) 585-2519 for more info and scheduling.

 

 

Point Break and The Chipmunks

Big Bear Lake has a great movie theater without having to spend a fortune!  You and your family can enjoy new release movies with surround sound, tasty snacks and it’s only $10 a ticket for adults and $6.50 for kids 11 and younger.  The Village Theaters North are located on Pine Knot in the Village.  Visit  www.villagetheaters.com for more show times.

 

 

Goldsmith’s Board House Race Series #1

Snow Summit is hosting the first of Goldsmith’s annual race series on Sunday, December 27th.  Registration is from 8 a.m.-9:30 a.m. with the race at 10 a.m.  The event is open to anyone ages 6-20.  Call (909) 866-5766 for all the details.

 

 

The Rising- Springsteen Tribute at The Cave
