Come out and enjoy the Big Bear Turkey trot on Thanksgiving morning. The Big Bear Turkey Trot is a Thanksgiving morning tradition in Big Bear Lake. If you’re looking for some fun and festive running, this 3-6 mile course might be the perfect place! Runners will be treated with yoga warm-ups before their 3-mile race, or you can take a leisurely walk if that’s more your speed!

Come ready to have fun and dress in your best turkey, bear, or autumn costume at the Big Bear Turkey Trot. We’ve got prizes for the person with the most creative outfit–perfect if you’re looking to blend into that crowd at Thanksgiving dinner! The fastest runners will also be rewarded; awards include turkeys (awarded by the Turkey King), cupcakes baked fresh just last week by local bakers who want nothing more than an hour off their feet so they can enjoy this holiday too!)

9:00 am – 9 Mile Race – Entry Fee – $60

9:15 am – 6 Mile Race – Entry Fee- $50

9:25 am – Pre Run Yoga

9:30 am – 3 Mile Race – Entry Fee- $50

10:30 am – Awards & Costume Contest

We hope to see you at the Big Bear Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning! You can register and sign up for a race or take it easy and just walk. It’s going to be a blast, we promise! If you’re not able-bodied enough to run 3 miles, don’t let that stop you from coming out and enjoying all of the festivities. There will be yoga warm-ups before your event starts so everyone can enjoy themselves no matter what their fitness level is like. Runners will also get some tasty treats after they finish their races too–what more could an athlete want?
