Bald Eagle Count and Celebration – December 12th, 2015

Join local experts and bird watchers on a hike through the mountains to spot and count bald eagles who are nesting in the area, then learn all about the national bird and why they call Big Bear home.  The family friendly event is free and a fun way to learn and get outdoors.  Meet at the Big Bear Lake Discover Center at 8 a.m. for the count and stay for the presentation at 11 a.m. You might even see an eagle from your Big Bear cabin rental!  Learn more at www.mountainsfoundation.org.

 

Riglet Park at Bear Mountain – December 26-27th, 2015

Are you a snowboarder and want to teach your little ones how to do tricks?  Bear Mountain introduces Riglet Park Camp for kids ages 3-6 years old to experience the thrill of snowboarding just like the grown-ups!  The playground setting includes mellow rollers, small berms and other ground level features using Burton’s “Learn to Ride” technology while learning safety.  This fun event will be available 4 times this season. New Year’s Eve at Snow Summit – December 31st, 2015

Say goodbye to 2015 at the annual Torchlight Parade and New Year’s Eve party at Snow Summit!  The fun starts at 7:00 p.m. when over 100 skiers and snowboarders make their way down the “Miracle Mile” with torches.  Then the whole family can party the night away with tubing, live music and DJ entertainment.
