Film Festival Attendance Projections
In 2023, the first live Festival was held in Big Bear during the weekend of September 8th, 9th, and 10th, directly following Labor Day, at the Big Bear Performing Arts Center. This year, they are excited to announce that they have scheduled the event for the 4th of July weekend, taking place on the 5th, 6th, and 7th. This strategic timing will potentially bring in over 1,000 guests. At their previous event, they welcomed over 200 unique attendees, and look forward to surpassing that number this year.
2023 Green Jack Film Festival
The 2023 Green Jack Film Festival boasted amazing special guests like Harland Williams, an Actor/Comedian from “Dumb and Dumber” & “There’s Something About Mary”. Adam Marcus, the Director of “Jason Goes to Hell”. Nancy Sinclair, an Actress/ Big Bear Local who was Presented with the 2023 Green Jack “Icon Award”. Paul Tamasy, Academy Award Nominated Screenwriter of “The Fighter” and many others!
The weekend consisted of three days of film industry highlights. Guests arrive on the Red Carpet, over 200 guests walked the catwalk and had their photos taken with the guests of honor. In the reception hall, guests networked and mingled. The awards ceremony was the most attended event of the weekend. Alongside other highlights, the Q&A schedule allowed fans and media outlets to ask questions to various filmmakers. Local musician Mike Cross played piano for entertainment. One of the best highlights of the event was a comedy show featuring Comedian Harland Williams! Duke and Peg played at the reception afterward. All weekend long, high quality blockbuster movies screened for fans and filmmakers to enjoy!
