Big Bear Hot Dawgz and Handrails

There’s no doubt that snowboarding is one of the main highlights of Big Bear. There is just a different buzz around the mountain when winter comes, and if you are a boarder yourself then you know what I mean. You also know that there’s no better winter kick-off than the annual Hot Dawgz and Handrails! This year is Big Bear’s 16th year of bringing you this epic event. It might not be “officially” winter yet, but on September 28th we’ve got a forecast of 100% snow! 

The event is typically held at Bear Mountain Resort but this year, while the resort is getting an expansion to the deck, they’ll be bringing all the action to you at Snow Summit! The one-of-a-kind rail jam course is designed and being built by the great Bear Mountain Resort park staff, ensuring you get the same great course you love and expect from Hot Dawgz.

This year they’re teaming up with Punk In Drublic Fest. Created from the mind and liver of NOFX’s frontman Fat Mike, the Punk In Drublic Craft Beer & Music Festival highlights the best in punk rock music and regional craft beer.

9AM Ticket windows, gates, vendor village, bike park, and Basecamp activities open
12PM Athlete meeting (Slopeside Speakeasy)
12PM – 1PM The Bronx live performance
1PM – 2PM Rail jam practice
2:15PM – 3:15PM The Vandals live performance
3:15PM – 4:30PM Rail jam final
4:45PM – 5:15PM Awards ceremony
5:15PM – 6:15PM NOFX live performance
